Can't say enough GREAT things about this place. COMMUNICATION IN HUMAN FORM. NO AUTOMATED CRAP. Kind personal, so very informative and to the point of what needs to be done and what could wait ,with an estimate to match. Got me in fast too. I have been having problems with my vehicle and took it to several different mechanic shops. None of them could get it fixed. I tried Fix It Auto Repair and you better believe they have my business for life! They were able to schedule me according to my schedule and fix the vehicle properly! The communication was absolutely top notch! We had several problems with the vehicle and they called with pricing as they continued to find issues. When I went to pay, the invoice matched exactly what I was told. Thank you Charlie and the two other mechanics it took to get our vehicle back to running safely and efficiently!

I had a serpentine belt/water pump issue, and they fixed it in a day! I dropped off the vehicle on a Sunday when they were closed, and I especially enjoyed how they had a whole checklist of stuff on the key envelope itself. I was able to check what needed work and write some contact info/some exposition about my car’s symptoms, and they got it done! I picked it up the following Tuesday morning, which was great because I got to avoid the horrible torrential thunderstorms from Monday evening. Also, they had a little plastic figurine of Mario from specifically either Mario Kart 64 or Mario Kart Super Circuit, and that just brought a huge smile to my face that I felt was worth mentioning. Apparently one of the owners’ names is Charlie Brown, which was also cute because there were a bunch of Peanuts figurines in the lobby too :) Fun-loving place, glad my coworkers recommended the establishment!

Charlie did a fine job diagnosing a strange starting problem we had with our Kia van. I was thinking all sorts of things about alternators and starter motors and batteries, but Charlie figured out the problem was as simple as loose battery clamps that simply needed to be tightened. Problem solved!

I would highly recommend! I was driving on the interstate and my alternator belt broke. I could not drive my car and took it to the closest shop available. They were very busy that day but managed to fit me in and were very accommodating.

I am not that far out of town, but far enough to not know the local shops and who to call when my daughter’s car had a battery/alternator issue. I found FixIt Auto - and in the first phone call they were clear about what they would do - coordinate with a local to company they work with, get the car in, and set my expectations on timing/when they could get to the car. Two customers did not show for their appointments and the FixIt team was able to bump my work forward and it was done in a little over a day (parts were available as well) and got it back to my ISU student. Thanks making things a little less stressful.

Another repair facility told us that our sons car needed over $2500 worth of repairs. Fix It determined what needed to be fixed now. Also that a brake overhaul was not needed at this time. The brakes are safe. In another 10,000 miles or so we will have the brakes checked again, and probably overhauled at that time. Thank You! Roger
